Egyptair Express takes delivery of first E170
Embraer delivered the first of six Embraer 170 regional jets to EgyptAir Express on 14-May-07. Egyptair Express is the new subsidiary of flag carrier, EgyptAir. This aircraft is the first E-Jet to operate in that country.

EgyptAir selected the aircraft in Sep-06, placing an order for six aircraft, plus six options. The E-Jets will serve as the backbone of the EgyptAir Express fleet, flying to primary and secondary destinations within its domestic and regional markets.

The aircraft are configured with leather seats, seating 76 passengers.

Embraer and EgyptAir are studying the possibility of establishing an authorised service centre for the E-Jets in the region, to be run by EgyptAir M&E.
