Emirates heads to Malaysia three times daily
Emirates, the international airline of the United Arab Emirates, on Monday added an extra daily connection between its home base of Dubai and the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, bringing the total number to 21 weekly, non-stop flights.

The service has been established in recognition of the demand for flights to and from Malaysia and Emirates’ deep commitment to serving the Malaysian market.

Richard Jewsbury, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East and Australasia, said: “Emirates has always been committed to Malaysia. This increase in flight frequency follows strong and increasing demand for flights not just from business travellers, but leisure travellers as well.

“We are now offering further access to numerous Emirates destinations around the world. The triple-daily flights will benefit our customers, stakeholders and our business, while boosting Malaysian tourism, underscoring the country’s role in Emirates’ Far East network.

“Our partnership with Malaysia goes back to October 1996 when we launched our first service here, via Dhaka, and 10 years later we began a weekly non-stop service, and here we are today with a total of 21 weekly non-stop flights between Kuala Lumpur and Dubai.”

The additional flight, EK408, will depart Dubai daily at 02:40 hours, arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 13:30 hours. Its return flight, EK409, will depart Kuala Lumpur at 09:45 hours the following day, to arrive in Dubai at 12:45 hours.
