(CAPA): Dubai Airport announced it expects traffic to rise for the tenth edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS). The regional summer fun fiesta is expected to draw in a larger number of visitors to Dubai. “Since the launch of the DSS 10 years ago, we have always been keen to cooperate with the DSS Office in order to promote this leading regional event in a way that fits its distinguished standing. DSS reflects the deep-rooted traditions of UAE's citizens and the country's tourist potential,” said Sultan Bin Toaq, Manager Airport Security Pass Directorate of Protocol & Public Relations, Department of Civil Aviation.

'We have introduced new, innovative procedures for this year's edition tailored to portray the good image of UAE in tourist, cultural and social spheres," he added.

Sultan Bin Toaq concluded by mentioning the presence of special teams to monitor DSS activities at the airport. “A team of young Emarati men will be in charge of executing and supervising all DSS-related activities at the airport as part of the coordination taking place with the DSS Office in order to provide our local cadres an opportunity to develop their skills and directly get involved in interesting yet challenging work schedules.”
