View More Gulf Air News At an ordinary general assembly meeting at Gulf Air headquarters, the Board of Gulf Air, including members from the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, also approved the company account for 2006. Gulf Air Acting Chief Executive Björn Näf was the driving force behind the proposal for the new package for the cockpit and cabin crew. Mr Näf has welcomed the board's swift decision to approve the compensation as another phase of adjustments, which began in June. For pilots, the new package includes significant increases to housing and schooling allowances. In addition, a new seniority system will be introduced, which will be clear and transparent. The company also has plans to install a performance appraisal system in line with Gulf Air’s strategy to boost transparency, people development and to prepare the company for future growth. |
