Gulf Air has entered into a strategic global partnership with DHL Express as part of the airlines Global Incentive Agreement Programme, designed to provide key global partners with incentives to boost its cargo traffic volumes and facilitate its inclusion in the partner's core carrier programmes.
DHL Express, a long time supporter of the airline, is the first partner to be signed up to this incentive agreement.
Gulf Air Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Lee Shave, stated that the carrier was “delighted to have DHL Express on board as our launch partner in this incentive programme.”
According to Mr Shave: "Strategic global incentive agreements are a key strategy in building effective partnerships, especially when it comes to air cargo industry.”
The agreement provides partners to access permanent bookings (PBs), direct booking, regular interface with HDQ key account managers, specific service level commitments and service recovery plans including claims processing.
The agreement will be for a one year period.
