Emirates to connect Dubai and Johannesburg three times daily
Emirates Airline continues to ramp up its winter season offering, announcing the launch of three additional flights per week to its South African gateway, Johannesburg, making it a third-daily service on every day of the week. Effective 28th October, the Dubai-based carrier will operate a third flight every Friday and Saturday; and on Wednesday starting 1st February.

These additional flights mark the second phase of the introduction of Emirates' third-daily service which commenced in June when it added one extra frequency on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

In total the airline will operate 21 flights per week to Johannesburg.

The added frequencies are in response to the growing demand for air travel connections to and from South Africa.

The flights will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER and A330-200 in two-class configurations; the former offering 42 Business and 385 Economy Class seats and the latter offering 27 Business and 251 Economy Class seats. Both aircraft are equipped with industry-leading comforts including ergonomic seats, personal video screens, in-seat phones, and facilities to send and receive email and sms from each seat.
