(CAPA) Jet Airways was granted traffic rights on India-Gulf/Middle East routes, effective 01-Jan-08, breaking the monopoly of state-owned Indian carriers on the routes.
Jet Airways received the following capacity allocations: - Qatar: 2,100 seats per week - 1,050 on the Mumbai-Doha route and 1,050 on the Kozhikode-Doha sector;
- Kuwait: 3,682 seats - 1,582 on the Delhi route, 1,050 for Thiruvananthapuram and 1,050 for Kochi;
- Oman: 3,150 seats - 1,050 on the Kochi-Muscat route, 1,050 for Thiruvananthapuram and 1,050 for Kozhikode;
- Bahrain: 2,100 seats - 1,050 for the Mumbai route and 1,050 for Kochi.
Jet also applied for rights to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but these are still under consideration. Date posted: 17-Sep-07
