Emirates boosts Saudi capacity for Ramadan
Emirates announced plans to introduce additional services between Dubai International Airport and the Jeddah Haj Terminal, effective immediately, to facilitate travel during the Holy month of Ramadan. Some five million pilgrims are forecast to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia The additional services, operational until 12th October, can be accessed by travellers holding a valid Umrah visa. Those wishing to travel to the kingdom for reasons others than Umrah can fly on any of Emirates’ regular, scheduled flights that operate 17 times a week from Dubai to Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.

Emirates will also have special Economy class return fares on the additional Umrah flights. The extra flights will depart Dubai at 07:20, 09:00 and 12:45 hours ensuring seamless connections within three hours for pilgrims arriving from the Indian sub-continent and Far East.

Nabil Sultan, Emirates Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran said: “Emirates would like to thank the government and relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia for granting it the permission to introduce extra frequencies for Umrah pilgrims.”
