Scandinavian Airlines opens up the Middle East
SAS Scandinavian Airlines' new route from Copenhagen to Dubai, scheduled to commence from the end of the month, offers onward connections to the most important cities in the Middle East in co-operation with Emirates.

Flights to Bahrain, Doha (Qatar), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait, Muscat (Oman), and Tehran (Iran) can now be booked with SAS online or via travel agents. Both Mauritius and the Seychelles are also available to book through travel agents.

Lars Sandahl Sørensen, Chief Commercial Officer, SAS International, stated: "There has been a significant increase of interest in destination Dubai, both amongst businessmen and leisure travelers, which has encouraged us to invest in Dubai and the Middle East,"

“We are pleased to offer connections to the most important Middle Eastern destinations through our Dubai gateway. This is one of the fastest growing economical regions in the world, and SAS will now connect all of Northern Europe with all of Middle East. "

SAS will commence flights to Dubai from October 31 and provide three weekly non-stop services from Copenhagen. SAS will use its modern Airbus A340 aircraft, offering passengers a choice of three service classes: Business, Economy Extra and Economy, with full service class flexibility when booking.

Scandinavian Airlines International is the long-haul operator of SAS with 1.4 million passengers per year. The fleet consists of 11 Airbus 330/340 which serves 10 destinations: New York, Chicago, Washington, Seattle, Bangkok, Beijing, Tokyo, Dubai, Copenhagen and Stockholm.
