Oman Air signs firm contract for five A330s
Oman Air has signed a firm contract with Airbus for five new aircraft A330 family aircraft, comprised of three A330-300s and two A330-200s. No engine choice has been made and delivery dates have not been announced.

These aircraft will provide additional capacity on Oman Air’s regional and international routes from the airlines base in the Sultanate of Oman to Europe and the Far East. The carrier recently announced plans to launch services to Bangkok and London with A330 equipment.

With over 1,200 orders and a backlog which has grown to over 370 aircraft, the A330/A340 Family has become an industry standard in the 250 to 375 seat category.

All A330 and A340 family aircraft benefit from Airbus’ unique cockpit and operational commonality which helps shorten training times for flight crews transitioning from one Airbus aircraft to another, as well as providing streamlined maintenance procedures and reduced spare parts holdings.
