(c) Centre for Asia Pacific Airlines: Middle East Airlines has chosen International Aero Engines' V2500 to power up to nine A320s, in a deal that could be valued at up to USD140 million, if all options are realised. The order is made up of engines for six firm and three options. The aircraft deliveries are scheduled for the last quarter of 2008.

Under the terms of a V2500Select agreement, Middle East Airlines will take delivery of their aircraft with the SelectOneTM build standard of the V2500. The 22,000-33,000lb of thrust V2500-A5 is available in seven different thrust settings to power the Airbus A319, A320 and A321 family of aircraft as well as the A319 Corporate Jet.

IAE is a multinational aero engine consortium whose shareholders comprise Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, the Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines. More than 1,400 V2500-powered aircraft have been delivered and the worldwide fleet has accumulated more than 50 million flying hours.
