Boeing delivers 441 commercial aircraft in 2007, best performance since 2001

Boeing delivers 441 commercial aircraft in 2007, best performance since 2001
(c) Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation: Boeing reports it has delivered 441 commercial aircraft over 2007, an 11% increase from 2006, when it delivered 398 aircraft, and its highest delivery total since 2001, when it delivered 527 aircraft. The number of deliveries was within the manufacturer’s forecast of 440-445 for the year. Rival manufacturer, Airbus, has forecast a deliveries of 445 aircraft for 2007, and will announce its total in mid-Jan-07.

Boeing’s fourth quarter deliveries were up 9% year-on-year to 112 aircraft. In 4Q06, the manufacturer delivered 103 aircraft.

Boeing expects deliveries in 2008 to continue to climb as it accelerates the production of some models, forecasting between 480 and 490 commercial plane deliveries.

B737: 330;
B747: 16;
B767: 12;
B777: 83;
Total: 441, +11% year-on-year.
