FlyYeti.com launches third destination - Abu Dhabi
FlyYeti.com, Nepal's first low cost carrier, launched service between Kathmandu, the carrier's global hub, and Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital, on 06-Feb-08. The airline, which will provide service between the two cities five times weekly, recently commenced service to Sharjah, UAE, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"Less than a month after our inaugural service, we are delighted to launch service to our third destination, Abu Dhabi, making FlyYeti.com, one of the world's fastest growing young airlines," said Adel Ali, Board Member and CEO of Air Arabia and Yeti Airlines International, the operator of FlyYeti.com.

"Following the introduction of service to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi is now our second destination in the UAE, which demonstrates the importance we place on this dynamic nation. Abu Dhabi is witnessing fast and sustained economic growth and represents an important travel hub. From the modern and attractive Abu Dhabi International Airport, FlyYeti will offer comfortable air travel to the significant population of Nepalese expatriates traveling between these two countries."

Welcoming the new carrier to Abu Dhabi International Airport, H E Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Chairman and Managing Director of ADAC said: "FlyYeti.com is one of a growing number of airlines that sees the attraction of Abu Dhabi International Airport as an international hub due to its flexibility and wide array of newly launched products and services catering to the needs of individual airlines as per their business models. ADAC is happy to welcome FlyYeti.com to Abu Dhabi International Airport, and will provide the fullest support possible to its newest partner."

FlyYeti.com was launched on 20-Jan-08 in Kathmandu - Air Arabia's newest hub - with the aim of providing affordable and convenient service to a broad range of international destinations across South and Central Asia, the Far East, the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent. The carrier expects to announce the launch of service to a range of new destinations in these markets in the near future.

FlyYeti.com is a joint venture between Air Arabia and Yeti Airlines, a domestic carrier in Nepal. Air Arabia is applying its successful low-cost business model to the management and operation of FlyYeti.com.
