Kuwait International Airport opens general aviation aircraft apron

In the line with transferring Kuwait into a commercial and financial center and responding to the raped growing of aircraft movement and passenger's flow resulting from the implementation of the open sky policy, the general aviation aircraft apron was opened as a part of "Providing ground and technical services for general aviation in Kuwait international airport"project.

The project manager Eng. Mohammad F. Alzaabi stated that the rest of the project "which concur an area of 100,000 Sq.m" facilities will be operational in the coming weeks which include general aviation terminal and other facilities in addition to 250 car parking.

Eng. Alzaabi added that the newly opened 27 aircraft parking has raised the capacity of this type of aircrafts at Kuwait international airport to more than 5 times than is was before. This project, which aims to provide a special services to the private aircraft owners, air taxi, air ambulance, helicopters, and other types of operations, is one of the ongoing projects of developing Kuwait international airport as the sky gate of the state of Kuwait.
