EgyptAir took delivery of its third Next-Generation B737-800 from Boeing on 07 September 2007. The airline originally ordered six B737-800s and six purchase options in August 2005. In October 2006 the carrier converted the six purchase options into firm orders.

EgyptAir, headquartered in Cairo has signed a firm contract to buy five A330-200 wide-body aircraft with an option for an additional three.

EgyptAir and TAP Portugal, a member of the Star Alliance, have signed a codeshare agreement covering EgyptAir's new twice-weekly Cairo-Lisbon service, commencing 02-Jun-07. EgyptAir will serve this route with A320 equipment every Wednesday and Saturday.
