UNITED ARAB EMIRATES : (CAPA) Air Arabia, the Middle Easts first LCC, announced it has flown five million passengers since its launch in October 2003. Christopher Louis Dsouza, a real estate consultant based in Dubai, was named the carriers five millionth passenger.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES : (CAPA) Air Arabia announced plans to launch daily services to Bangalore from 28th October 07. Air Arabia, the first international low cost airline to fly to India, commenced services on the Bangalore Sharjah route from 15th October 2007 with four weekly flights which will now increase to daily services.

The company has also seen a significant capacity growth for the same period with 14 flights per week between Sharjah and Bahrain.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES : (CAPA) Air Arabia has reportedly allocated up to USD400 million to acquire another airline in the Middle East region, according to regional investment bank, EFG-Hermes. Targets could include full-service airlines to be converted to an LCC model. The carrier has also allocated funds from a recent IPO to acquire up to 34 aircraft over the next nine years, develop budget hotels and establish a second hub in the region.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES : Air Arabia announced plans to begin twice-weekly flights between Sharjah, UAE, and Chittagong, Bangladesh, from 18 June 2007. Air Arabia's direct flights to Chittagong, the second-largest city in Bangladesh, will mark the inauguration of the Sharjah-based carrier's service to the country.
