(CAPA FREE) Egypt Air Cargo nominated German Airport Frankfurt-Hahn as its central European hub. The Egyptian cargo airline has increased weekly frequencies from 7 to 15 under its new winter flight schedule.
Egypt Air Cargo started operation at the Airport Frankfurt-Hahn on 18 December 2002, with one weekly flight to Cairo. The carrier operates A300 cargo equipment to the airport. Assessed as a ‘low-noise level’ aircraft, it has a freight capacity of 45 tons and is well suited to the market.
With the expansion of our services freight capacities is increased to more than 1,500 tons per week.
Meanwhile the planning stage for the construction of a state of the art perishables center at Frankfurt-Hahn together with a private investor is well under way. Egypt Air is the most important airline at the Airport Frankfurt-Hahn in terms of perishable goods, according to the airport. Currently the existing freight handling refrigeration facilities is being used.
